Make a beanie Pt 1: Beginners crochet lesson

Event Date:

May 21, 2020

Event Time:

10:00 am

Event Location:

10am Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney or 9:30am Adelaide

It’s getting cold in Australia, but any season is a good time to learn how to make your own super simple beanie! [IMPORTANT: Register NOW for Pt 2 on 4 June]

* Check out the materials list! You need one crochet hook and at least one ball of yarn, possibly two. If you have a smaller hook and smaller yarn, you can still make the project, you’ll just need to make more stitches. We can use any size hook and yarn for this project.

CROCHET HOOK SIZE                                       YARN SIZE

4mm hook                                                                “Sport weight” / 6ply

4.5mm hook                                                             “Sport weight” / 6ply

5mm hook                                                                 “DK weight” / 6-8 ply

6mm hook                                                                 “Worsted weight” / 10 ply

Choose yarn that would be comfy on your head. Look at the attached photo to get an idea. Hook and yarn can be bought from Spotlight, Lincraft, Kmart and BigW, some Woollworths stores.
