Ready to Start – ELS

Check the list to confirm that you are ready to start studying.

If you have any questions, talk to your agency or, if you have already started studying, talk to your campus Student Advisor.

ELS Language Schools

Activate your Digital Access

28 Days before your Start Date, you will receive your Digital Access email with your username and temporary password. Follow the steps on the Student Setup Guide to activate the account.

Application Form

Various methods of application are available. Talk to your Agency about this.

Appropriate Visa or Study Permit

Make sure you have the correct visa for your course of study, eg: Student Visa, Study Permit. Talk to your Agency if you are not sure.

Copy of Passport Provided

Scan so that all personal details are clear

First Day Forms

Download and complete the following Important Forms and bring them with you on your first day.

ELS Student Code of Conduct Form

Primary Release Form

Smoking Policy Contract

Excursion Release Form

Housing Damage Deposit Form (only if staying in ELS arranged housing)

Health Insurance Waiver (only if not purchasing the ELS Health Insurance Plan)

Minor Medical Release Form (for Under 18 students)

Form I-20

Your Form I-20 proves that you are legally enrolled in a program of study in the United States. All students that study in the United States need a Form I-20. Bring a copy with you on your first day.

Language Level Test

Complete a Language Level Test to help us find the best class for you, before you start your Study Experience.

Payment

Talk to your Agent if not yet completed, or to your Student Advisor if you are on-shore or have studied a previous course with us.

Private Health Insurance

Purchase the ELS Health Insurance Plan or find your own health insurance. Bring proof of insurance on your first day. If you do not purchase the ELS Plan, you must complete the Health Insurance Waiver. Download the document and bring on your first day.

Take a selfie in the app

Take a photo of yourself in the myELS app so we can see who you are. This will become the photo for your digital student card in the myELS app.
