Why is something a piece of cake when it’s easy? What does it mean to throw a sickie in Australia, take the mickey in Britain, or say you bet in North America? In this lively English workshop, we’ll travel across the English-speaking world through its most colourful everyday expressions. From slang and idioms to phrasal verbs and regional phrases, we’ll uncover the stories behind the language and practise using it in real-life situations. Whether you’re chatting with friends, watching films, or travelling abroad, you’ll leave with practical expressions that help you sound more natural and understand authentic English with greater confidence.
